Changes in CRMD of Cyprus

cyprus-flagOn September 29th, Civil registry and migration department of Cyprus (CRMD) entered into force new changes in submitting applications for third country nationals. The Department said that now these procedures are made for submitting applications for third country nationals who reside in or/are planning to find a job in Cyprus.

In accordance with Art. 18 “Law on Aliens and Immigration”, as well as Article 4 of the Department of Civil Registry and Migration sets new rules, which fall under the third-country nationals, employed in the Republic of Cyprus or planning to be employed, as well as people who are living or planning to stay in Cyprus.

The first thing that should be kept in mind that new application forms are classified according to the classification of the citizens on workers, entrepreneurs, unemployed people, tourists, etc. Now, third country nationals will receive ID cards, which will include biometric data of the holder (fingerprints and photographs) and their signature.
